Kazumi Umeda is a composer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist whose diverse musical background includes a classical piano degree from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, jazz studies at the Eastman School of Music, early collaborations with avant- gardist David Shea, and being a founding member and drummer of the punk rock band Teenage Depression. Since then, he has released music with his bands New Providence (indie rock), Noran Echo (progressive electronic), and Monster Ingratitude (punk). He has also collaborated with Grant Chu Covell (electroacoustic) and Jagged Ice (noise/free jazz). His classical works have been performed by renowned flautist Laura Chislett Jones and the Boston-based Libella Quartet.
Guillaume Hérisson studied at IRCAM in Paris. He is an engineer, musicologist, and linguist with a rich background in multidisciplinary projects that span music, linguistics, film, visual arts, and technology.
He is engaged in personal research on experimental literature generated by computers, drawing inspiration from Oulipo and Jorge Luis Borges' 'Library of Babel.'
In 2018, he co-founded Harmonious Hedgehog Productions in New York with Kazumi Umeda, a company dedicated to producing video art and films about contemporary artists.
